The weather was predicted to be rainy, but the Seattle Section does not let that slow them down.  Sixteen MBCA Members met at Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma on Saturday morning and planned a route across the Olympic Peninsula.  After the Driver/Navigator meeting all left for the first stop in Belfair, then proceeded to The Geoduck Restaurant in Brinnon for lunch.  Then it was off to Finn River farm in Chimacum for cider tasting.  Some even found ice cream available.  The next stop was at The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and Webster Woods Sculpture Park.  After a full day of driving interesting roads and seeing the sights, dinner was by the water at Smuggler’s Landing at the Wharf.  Minimal rain so far.

The next morning, we gathered outside the hotel to discuss the itinerary for the day.  First was a fun drive to Hurricane Ridge and the Visitor Center.  Then we met at the Old Mill Café in Sequim for lunch.  After that a few additional members joined the group at a local section member’s exquisite car collection in Sequim.  He is always gracious and spends time describing each part of the collection, how it was acquired, and why he keeps it.  Then it was time to head home and prepare for the next week.  We proved the weather team wrong again and enjoyed a beautiful Northwest September Weekend on the Olympic Peninsula.
